Shadows Longer

We’re thrilled to be part of yet another ace compilation from Matinee Recordings called Matinee Idols. Our contribution is a previously unreleased song called ‘Shadows Longer’ that we recorded a couple years ago at the same time as ‘Coastal California 1985.’ And of course the compilation also includes a truck load of great pop songs from our esteemed labelmates. You can listen to Shadows Longer on Soundcloud below, and pick up a copy of Matinee Idols from the Matinee shop!

10 years in the making…

We’re dead excited to announce a new album we’ve been working on for years, literally.

In This Together is a 16-track compilation of EPs, b-sides, rarities and unreleased songs from our 10+ years as a band, including this brand spanking new one called Coastal California, 1985:

Our friends at Matinee Recordings (USA) and Fika Recordings (UK) were kind enough to help us put together something special for this release. The CD comes tucked into a 6-panel eco-wallet and the LP is on heavyweight cream vinyl with a gatefold sleeve, both featuring some of our favorite band photos plus liner notes by our pal Sean Tollefson of Tullycraft.

CD, LP, and digital versions are available for pre-order now!

So much younger then…

show-poster-july2005We recently unearthed this video of us playing ‘Weekends Away’ at Chop Suey in Seattle in 2005. The show was a CD release for our second EP, and we played second after Tullycraft (a mistake we made only once…an impossible act to follow!). The fabulous Salteens drove down from Vancouver, B.C. to headline. Love seeing the familiar faces in the crowd again from those early days.

It also reminded me of the awesome poster that Cori from Tullycraft designed for that show. Still one of my favorites…
