We recently unearthed this video of us playing ‘Weekends Away’ at Chop Suey in Seattle in 2005. The show was a CD release for our second EP, and we played second after Tullycraft (a mistake we made only once…an impossible act to follow!). The fabulous Salteens drove down from Vancouver, B.C. to headline. Love seeing the familiar faces in the crowd again from those early days.
It also reminded me of the awesome poster that Cori from Tullycraft designed for that show. Still one of my favorites…

8/21/09 *tap* *tap* Is this thing on? Hey, we’re headed into the studio next month to begin recording our second LP. Really! We’ll be working with producer/engineer Martin Feveyear this time, and we’ve even convinced our former comrade Kevin to sit in on drums. Has it really been two years since our last release?

7/10/09 Hey everyone, in between potty training and diaper disasters, we’ve been making good progress on the new set of songs. We should be ready to do a bunch of recording late summer or early fall. We’ll keep you posted!
Comments
4/14/09 We’re sad to report that Kevin has decided to leave the band. He’s a busy man these days with a young family,
burgeoning writing career, and
other musical pursuits, so something had to give. It’s quite possible you’ll still hear Kevin on future MAPC recordings, but officially he’s calling it a day. We’ll miss his rock steady beats and aviator cool, but the rest of us plan to carry on and still hope to release some new material later this year.

11/30/07 Sadly our December 4th show with Voxtrot and Tullycraft will be the last for our violinist Saundrah. Though she may still pop up on future recordings, she will no longer be playing live with the band. Anyone who’s seen us knows that Saundrah added a touch of class to our otherwise shambling performances, so you might want to catch her last show if you can! Doors at 8pm, show at 9pm. We play first. (Pssst! Hey kids, it’s all-ages!)

1/25/07 Our last show until summertime will be at Town Hall on February 17 as part of their Saturday Family Concerts series. Please note this is a special show for kids, so we will not be playing MAPC songs. Instead we’ve put together a “variety show” of sorts, with all the fun and games and music we could pack into one hour, including appearances by our pals Central Services. Also, as this is a concert series designed for families, adults must be accompanied by a kid under 12 to get in the door. Surely you know a kid who enjoys music and fun?
